3D Hubs FDM Guidelines

About This Project

The brief of this project was to design a 3D printable part on an FDM machine that could illustrate potential quality issues with this type of printing technology.

FDM parts account for most of the orders placed on 3D Hubs and it was important that a level of acceptable quality was introduced. This part has some features that can be challenging to print on an FDM printer requiring the operator to correctly slice the model to ensure a quality print. The intention was for this part to also act as a calibration test, ensuring that the printer was setup correctly for printing.
